Synergy of leading industries towards sustainability

Thailand has been the location of ASEAN’s biggest industrial trade event and this year, the show is expected to retain its attractions with additional highlights to perk up the visit. Thailand’s largest Manufacturing Expo, where InterPlas Thailand is one of the four shows, is scheduled for 21-24 June, 2012 at BITEC in Bangkok. The show will present the latest technologies from leading exhibitors in five major manufacturing industries, including plastics and rubber. This exciting event is expected to attract over 60,000 buyers from ASEAN as well as record numbers from around the globe.

As has been in the past editions, the Manufacturing Expo will hold four major exhibitions: InterPlas Thailand, for the plastics and rubber manufacturing; InterMold Thailand, for mould and die manufacturing; Automotive Manufacturing, for auto parts manufacturing; and Assembly Technology, on industrial automation and assembly technologies. Three Co-Located Shows are also scheduled: Industrial Components & Subcontracting, the sourcing hub for industrial parts; Electronics Assembly, technologies for electronics manufacturing; and GFT, for textile and garment industries. There will also be 5 featured pavilions: Industrial Energy Efficiency; Composites Thailand; Material Handling; Coating & Surface; and Factory Automation.

Despite some economic challenges faced by Thailand over the past year, analysts from KBank Research Center have revealed that after the floods in late 2011 abated, investment from both the public and private sectors in Thailand has grown to 400 – 550 billion Baht annually (approximately $13-18 billion). 

The main focus of InterPlas 2012 will be on sustainability issues and the motto is “Synergy for Growth”.  The show will also feature a variety of industrial conferences as well as “know-how” and business inducing activities to further benefit participants. Additionally, guests will be able to study new manufacturing trends, new business ideas, and share industry knowledge with one another in a stimulating business environment. In anticipation of InterPlas Thailand 2011; we have compiled a preview of some of the new technologies and products that will be featured at this event. and the expo is projected to reach more than 100,000 potential buyers.
