TANG-GRIP parting inserts add SUMO TEC

ISCAR has added two new SUMO TEC grades to further improve performance of the popular TANG-GRIP line of parting inserts. The SUMO TEC 808 offers impact and built-up edge resistance. It is recommended for parting heat resistant alloys, austenitic stainless steel, hard alloys and carbon steel. ISCAR's TANG-GRIP parting inserts feature pressed-in clamping for freer chip flow and tangential insert orientation for greater strength. The unique clamping system (patent pending) eliminates the upper jaw and set screws that can obstruct chip flow. Included in the TANG-GRIP family are square shank tools, blades and inserts in 2-6.35 mm widths, with either J- or C-type chipbreakers.
