The U.S. are a very important market for transfluid as a result, the company founded a company in South Carolina.
The technology company transfluid Maschinenbau produces machines to process tubes in Schmallenberg (Germany). The machines are sold worldwide, in a sector where being close to the customer and delivering services plays an important role. The US are a very important market for transfluid. “In February we have founded a company here in Greenville (South Carolina), so we can find solutions even faster and that are better for our customers in this market”, explains Stefanie Flaeper, Sales and Marketing Director at transfluid. ”Once we had found the right building we were ready to start.“

The subsidiary covers more than 900 m2. The modern building has offices, a warehouse with spare parts and a showroom. All the staff has been trained; some have been involved with the technology company for decades and they have put their heart and soul into the company’s sales and services activities, including aftersales. They take care of transfluid’s customers in a professional manner, from the moment of the initial request until the equipment is put into operation. Thanks to the many years of experience the transfluid staff will find the best possible solution and support transfluid’s clients in the US in all business areas.

To deliver this professional service, the staff have supplemented their knowhow from the original factory in Schmallenberg with intensive product and service training. One of the chosen ones is Jeff Gilchrist from the US, who came to Germany to be trained. “My time in Schmallenberg was very interesting. I have learnt so much and I know that I can now find the best solutions here in Greenville”, tells the US-born employee. In Schmallenberg he gained insight into the latest software and mechanical developments, strengthened existing relationships with his colleagues in Germany and thus expanded the global transfluid network. “The constant exchanges of idea between employees in the US and in Germany contributes to the success of our new subsidiary”, explains Ms. Flaeper. With its skilled workforce and the modern premises, transfluid is now in a much better position to serve its customers in the US and will continue to invest in this site.
