Mr Enrico Aureli, Chairman of UCIMA, the Italian Automatic Packaging Machinery Manufacturers’ Association, has informed local and international customers through a letter that they can continue to conduct normal business relations with UCIMA even at this time. He assures clients that precautionary measures are being undertaken to safeguard the health and safety of their employees and associates.
Mr Aureli also emphasises that UCIMA employees are fit to work and can certify they did not travel to at-risk areas in Italy and abroad, and have not been in contact with those who may have travelled to at-risk areas.
Enrico Aureli, Chairman UCIMA
He says: We must point out that the high level of vigilance and preventive measures properly implemented by the Italian authorities to protect all citizens represents a further guarantee for our international clientele and should in no way be considered a penalising factor for our companies, which have always been attentive to the health and safety of their employees.
This commitment, which also derives from Italy’s role as the world’s leading exporter country in the packaging industry, obliges all companies to devote the utmost attention to all aspects of health. We also believe that the procedures and safety measures adopted by our companies can serve as a model to be followed and shared with our customers so that they can guarantee the same health standards for their own employees.
We therefore urge our international clientele to carry on normal relations with our companies and to continue to display the trust that our industry earns on a daily basis in all international markets.
