Uniting auto & motorcycle industry under one roof

Organized by Ringier Trade Media and co-organized by Vietnam Association of Supporting Industries (VASI), high level presentations and networking were seen across the board. Compelling talks covered everything from latest information on advanced materials in metalworking and plastics, as well as automotive engineering; not to forget the hottest design, quality control & inspection, plus advanced manufacturing systems.

Serving as the proving ground for innovators and breakthrough technologies, the Summit gathered automotive giants from around the world, such as Hyundai, Nissan, Volkswagen and the rising star- VinFast.

Ringier Trade Media President Mike Hay gave the attendees a preview of what they’ll experience during the two days in Hanoi including topics on 3D cutting machines, digitization, components testing, injection technology, semiconductors in the future of electric vehicles, and innovative thermoplastic materials.

Following Mike’s address, VASI Chairman Le Duong Quang explored what’s next for Vietnam’s automotive & motorcycle industry providing a future filled with hope and promise for Vietnam and of course to all investors who are looking at this important market.

Vietnam’s automotive market is full of energy. Although motorcycles are still the vehicle of preference, the car market has been steadily growing in importance. In connection with this, the Summit welcomed VIP guest Vingroup Deputy CEO Vo Quang Hue who talked about Vietnam's first volume car manufacturer, VinFast.

Thanks to the great support from VASI and presentations from the best of the best technology suppliers, which includes Infineon, Taiwan Takisawa, Oerlikon Balzers, Trumpf, Zeiss and more. We created many new connections between Vietnamese manufacturers and international suppliers.

An incredible line up of speakers have addressed the latest market trends, supply chain volatility index,  import/export regulations, homologation services for vehicles, technological innovations, and future prospects in Vietnam’s auto industry.

What made the summit more special was aside from the technical speeches, industry-leading presentations were held in the metalworking and plastics tracks.

Guided tour

Another highlight of the event is the guided tour to the factory of Weldcom, a partner of ABB, and is a provider of welding, cutting and metal processing technologies in Vietnam.  Here, delegates were able to get first-hand information from technical engineers on the shop floor.
