Video interview at CHINAPLAS 2013: Demag Plastics Machinery (Ningbo) Co., Ltd

Demag has been operating in China for 14 years. It presented its servo hydraulic injection machine that has precise positioning and is energy-saving at Chinaplas. The mould used came from Demag’s Swiss partner while the robot came from the French partner. For the duration of the show, Demag presented 6 machines.

According to Deputy General Manager Richard Chen: “Even with the instability of the Chinese market in the past two years, our market share is rising because of the growing demand for high-end machines that can offer precision.”  Demag offers injection machines from 50 tonnes to 1,000 tonnes clamping force. As Demag uses German technology and NC5 controlling system, the full benefits are reaped by the electronics industry, automotive industry, packaging industry, and medical industry.

The company is expected to work hard to further promote its technology. A new factory is being constructed and will be finished by 2015. The new factory will be four to five times bigger than existing facility and this will substantially raise production capacity.
