In-house recycling - Transport crates made of plastic waste

KraussMaffei is using recycled plastics instead of wood materials to produce transport crates for storing and transporting their screw elements. These plastic crates, in contrast to their wooden counterparts, offer not only a lighter and more cost-effective solution but also boast enhanced durability. In the event of an unexpected crate breakage, the material is fully recyclable.

 

As KraussMaffei unites extrusion and injection molding under one roof, they are capable of processing and regrinding their own waste so that it can then be further processed on their injection molding machines – a real close-loop.
