At Metalex 2024 in Bangkok, Thailand, Liam Comer, Application Development Manager - Thailand from Renishaw introduced the groundbreaking Agility CMM System, featuring the versatile REVO multi-sensor probing technology. The Agility CMM system boasts several advanced features designed to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs. At its core is the Lightning Drive linear motor technology, developed in the UK. These motors offer zero backlash and near-frictionless operation, resulting in extended service intervals and significantly lower ownership costs. Complementing this is the REVO multi-sensor system, a high-speed scanning solution capable of reaching speeds of up to 500 millimeters per second. The system’s ability to seamlessly switch between high-speed scanning, surface roughness inspection, vision systems, ultrasonic thickness inspection, and temperature probing sets it apart.
