The United Nations Climate Change Conference, more popularly known as COP26, put forward a commitment by 200 countries to accelerate their action on climate change. The goals lead towards carbon emission reduction, increasing investments on renewable energy and encouraging electric vehicles utilisation. The goals have not been lost on the plastics industry as even before the COP26, many companies in the industry have invested heavily in technologies that will enable them to reduce their carbon footprint.
In response to the growing interest on recycling, we are happy to include starting this issue a section on Recycling. Starting off, we have Ravi Purushotham, Director – Asia Pacific at Rapid Granulator AB, Sweden, writing on how regrind can be maximised and the importance of having the right equipment.
