The Ringier Technology Innovation Awards recognizes the pinnacle of excellence in ingredients, processing, automation and packaging, as well as the most innovative end-product of the year. This year presented a challenging task for the panel of judges, as leading products/technologies vied for the top prizes. The entries were selected based on their safety, efficacy/performance, cost effectiveness and sustainability. Turn to page 6 for the winners.

Recently, Ringier and Siemens conducted a market study to understand the current needs and requirements of the CPG industry in Indonesia. The results have been collated and analysed in the white paper, Indonesia: Consumer-Packaged Goods Trends and Challenges. On page 18, you will find an overview of the report, and a QR code for downloading the entire white paper. Our special thanks to the companies that participated in this survey.

Also in this issue, we underline the need for better quality and safety measures. In health and nutrition, Andrea Zangara of Euromed talks about how easy adulterated ingredients can enter the market and impact products.
