International Plastics News for Asia
This issue carries a special supplement on K 2010, the world's biggest plastics and rubber exhibition. With the global economy emerging from the recession, companies in the plastics and rubber industry are optimistic as they bring their new and best products to this show for the world to see. As Mr. Ulrich Reifenhäuser, Chairman of the Exhibitors' Council of K 2010, stressed, "customers are again working on new projects and are showing big interest in innovations and optimised processes and products," and K will once again take its special place being the most appropriate venue to launch new equipment and processes, and generate market response on these products. There will be over 3,000 exhibitors who invested much resources into developing products and solutions. Of these exhibitors, Asia will be strongly represented with China and Taiwan leading the Asian companies. Some first-time exhibitors include companies from Indonesia, Pakistan and Vietnam. With the hard times in which many companies have had to fight for survival, K 2010's success will be a welcomed break from the gloomy trends of the past two years.
