How do you manage anxiety brought by food scares?
IN OCTOBER, the 1111 Job Bank in Taiwan surveyed over 1,000 office workers on their reaction to a series of food scares, the most recent involving adulterated cooking oil. The results, published in an article in the Taipei Times, revealed that nearly 85% of respondents said they had consumed food cooked with adulterated ingredients. Nearly half said they were "terrified" by food scares. On a scale of 0-100, respondents' level of fear over food scares is 75. These figures may as well echo the anxiety of consumers all over the world. But will 2015 be a year with less (or no) food scares? One can only hope.
